David McConnell

“You are never in a place too far away for God to reach. His plans for you are more powerful than anything you have done. With Jesus Christ, your past has no control over your future. Turn to Him fully, and be amazed at His Grace.”

About David McConnell

David and his wife, Alyson, came to Agape in 2003 knowing that they needed to be closer to God and seeking a church that would help them. Through Agape, the LORD drew them to love Jesus more and to commit their lives to follow His word and Spirit. Years later, feeling called to ministry, David had the opportunity to serve the church in many roles including Children’s, Youth, and Teaching pastor. In June of 2018, David was called as the Lead pastor of Agape.

He attended Leavell College, part of New Orleans Seminary, to pursue education in Christian ministry and Biblical studies. However, he credits his training in the local church, under several incredible men who loved the Lord and His word, as his primary preparation for pastoral ministry. David and Alyson have been married for over 20 years after meeting in High School and have 6 incredible children.
