Who We Are

The foundation of all we believe and do at Agape Church is founded on the person, the work, and the words of Jesus Christ.

What We Hold True

At Agape Church, our faith is rooted in the Biblical truths outlined in our Statement of Faith. These truths unite us as a church family, and by God’s grace, we strive to embody our Core Values in all we do.

Our Great Need to RELY On Jesus

Agape Church
in Pinson, Alabama

We believe that Jesus, the Cornerstone of the church, taught that the most necessary things in life are to love God supremely, to love other people as He loved us, and to make disciples by teaching others what it means to follow Him.

We have set our course to pursue these purposes together, and we would love for you to visit Agape Church and learn more about us.

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Marriage, Family, and the Gift of Children

Family Focused

Agape Church values and encourages families and different generations to worship, engage and learn together. Agape has ministries that exist to strengthen and heal marriages, create healthier home environments, and equip parents with tools to teach their children about Jesus.

Fostering a Culture of Adoption

God has also laid on our heart a vision to see families at Agape engaging in foster care and adoption. We are building up ministries that promote caring for vulnerable children, including the Agape Adoption fund which helps fund families who are seeking to fulfil this call.

Prayer Is the Lifeblood of the Church

Making Disciples

Building community and exhorting one another in God’s Word are two of the core values upheld at Agape Church in Pinson. We provide discipleship opportunities for adults and teens through Bible studies, in-home small groups, classes for younger children, and prayer/worship gatherings.

Spiritual Gifts

We believe that the continuation of spiritual gifts helps build up the church, and that by preaching the gospel, we pursue the call for Biblical justice.

Greetings!

And thank you for visiting our site and seeking to learn more about Agape. I would love to take a moment and tell you about some of the things we find important as a church. For us, the foundation of all we do and believe is founded on the person, the work, and the words of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus taught the most necessary things in life are to love God supremely, to love other people as He loved us, and to make disciples by teaching others what it means to follow Him. We have set our course to pursue these purposes together, and we would love to have you join us as the Lord leads your spiritual journey.

One of my core personal beliefs is that we are at our strongest in this life when we realize our complete dependence upon God for all things. This principle of relying on Jesus permeates all that we do as a church. We believe and trust in the power that God has given His word to bring about spiritual life, therefore we make the teaching and application of the Bible a primary aim of each of our gatherings – whether at our building or in someone’s home. We also affirm that Jesus promised to send us a helper, the Holy Spirit, to empower us for all of life and ministry. Because of this, we make prayer and the seeking of God’s presence a centerpiece of our church life.

I want you to know that we make every effort to reflect the hospitality and kindness of Jesus to everyone. We understand that all people are lost and broken, with many personal frailties, yet Jesus is all sufficient to meet our needs, heal our wounds, and cover our disobedience before God. I was told years ago by my own mentor, there is nothing you can do to cause God to love you more or to love you less than He does right now. He just loves you. I invite you to believe that truth and to join us as we seek the life changing grace that is available to all of us who turn to Christ.

If I can answer any questions for you about our church, or assist you in any way, please feel free to reach out to me. I hope to meet you soon!
