We invite you to read below to learn more about Jesus and what it means to follow Him. We encourage you to respond to God and His Word!!

Who is Jesus?

He is the Christ, the promised Savior! He is the Son of the living God! Jesus, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born to a human virgin mother. Jesus, both 100% God and 100% human — Though each nature is incompatible with the other. But, with God all things are possible!

Jesus traveled, taught, performed many miracles, and lived without fault. Yet, even though Jesus did nothing wrong, betrayed by one of His main followers, the religious and political leaders had Jesus arrested. They had a trial and sentenced Jesus to a public execution where He was nailed to a cross and left to hang until His death. Before His death, Jesus told them He would rise again after three days!

And from the beginning, this was God’s plan!

After His death, they placed Jesus in a tomb. They protected the tomb by a large stone, along with some soldiers so that no one could get in — or out.

Then, on the third day, He conquered death and rose again. His followers and many others saw, spoke with, and touched Him! He even ate fish!

Later, He left this world and ascended into heaven, where He is now at the right hand of God. Jesus serves as our righteous advocate, pleading our case before our Father. Because Jesus has satisfied the righteous demands of our Father.

And even though we have not seen Jesus, we believe in Him, we love Him, and we rejoice with joy!

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures

The Good News about Jesus!

While the definition of sin is intricate and complex, We are all sinners and we continue to fall short of the glory of God.

Despite how we measure our sins, it isn’t enough for us to just obey the rules and try to do our best. In the end, our sin will pay us our earnings in death, eternally separated from God. This is why we are all in urgent need of a savior. That savior is the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who died for us! God showed His love for us via the death of His son Jesus. God had Jesus, who never sinned, become our sin as the payment for our sin. The righteous for the unrighteous.

Through our faith in Jesus, we receive eternal life in heaven! Not because our actions ever justified earning anything other than death, but because we are justified by God’s free gift of grace. This is why we must repent of our sin and not rely on ourselves, but rely on God who raises the dead! No one can come to God the Father except through Jesus!

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit

1 Peter 3:18, ESV
23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.

What Does a Disciple of Jesus Look Like?

A Christian is a Jesus-loving, Bible-believing, and people-loving person who is reliant on God and devoted to prayer! We hunger and thirst to be more like Jesus and realize that we can do nothing apart from Christ. Knowing that as temporary residents on a pilgrimage to our eternal home, we are to be good stewards because the earth is the Lord’s!

With the Holy Spirit guiding us through our journey, we mourn over sin and strive daily to become more loving, respectful, humble, gentle, merciful, and full of grace in all things! Because our freedom was purchased through Christ, we love our neighbor as He loved us and we selflessly serve others through love!

Are You A Believer?

I’m not asking if you have prayed a prayer in church. I am asking, have you chosen, because of the grace of God, to pick up your cross and follow Jesus?

And you may say, “I don’t know what that’s going to look like. I don’t know what that’s going to mean.” — You don’t have to.

Are you willing to repent of your sins and follow Him? To be changed by His spirit for obedience to Him? Whatever He asks you to do? If your answer to that is, “Yes!”, because He is Lord, then the Bible says, today is the day of salvation!

Ask Jesus to save you and He will. And then please contact us to let us know what God has done for you. We would love to give you a copy of the Bible and talk to you about what is next!!
