Grow Together

As a church, we’re reading the same passages to grow in communion with Jesus. Together, we will pray, teach, and discuss what God reveals to us in His Word as one body in Christ.

Reading itself doesn’t give life. It is the Spirit who opens our eyes, convinces, and humbles us through Scripture.

The elders pray for the church’s success in this, that every member engages with the plan with tender hearts, humbly obeying the Word, and that this shared pursuit produces unity, love, and spiritual revival* as God in His mercy may grant us.

One Body, Three Tracks

Each member of the church can choose one of three expanding Bible reading tracks.

  • Track 1 includes each week’s 5 primary Bible passages.
  • Track 2 includes 3-5 additional weekly supporting passages, covering portions of every book of the Bible by year’s end.
  • Track 3 includes all of Track 1 and 2, following the More Jesus Reading Plan to cover the entire Bible in one year, with the Gospels and Romans read twice.

    January 5–11, 2026

    Track 1

    • Genesis 1: God creates humanity in His image to reflect His glory.
    • Genesis 3: The fall and the first promise of a Redeemer (the “seed”).
    • Genesis 12: God’s call to Abraham: a redeemed people for all nations.
    • Luke 4: Jesus announces His Spirit-anointed mission to restore the broken.
    • Luke 5: Jesus calls sinners into a new community.

    Track 2

    • Genesis 6:5–8: Human corruption contrasted with God’s preserving grace.
    • Genesis 14:17–24: Melchizedek: a priest-king pattern fulfilled in Christ.
    • Psalm 2: God installs His anointed King, anticipating Jesus’ mission.
    • Psalm 3 (optional): God sustains and delivers the believer through trouble.

    Track 1

    • Genesis 15: God’s covenant of promise, counted as righteousness by faith.
    • Genesis 22: The beloved son offered; God provides a substitute.
    • Luke 9: Jesus revealed as the Christ; discipleship shaped by the cross.
    • Luke 10: The formation of a new community sent in mission.
    • Proverbs 1: The call to foundational wisdom rooted in the fear of the Lord.

    • Genesis 17:1–8: Covenant identity and God’s promise to form a people.
    • Psalm 6: Personal and communal dependence on the mercy of God.

    • Genesis 32: Jacob wrestles with God; identity transformed by grace.
    • Genesis 37: Joseph rejected by his brothers; the suffering servant type emerges.
    • Luke 15: The Father seeks and restores the lost into His family.
    • Luke 19: Zacchaeus: salvation to the outcast; Christ forms a new community.
    • Psalm 9: God as defender of the oppressed and righteous judge.

    • Genesis 45: Joseph reveals himself and forgives his brothers.

    • Luke 24: The risen Christ opens the Scriptures.
    • Proverbs 2: God gives wisdom that forms the righteous and a faithful community.

    • Genesis 50:15–21: Joseph reaffirming God’s sovereign good through suffering.
    • Exodus 6:1–8: God promises deliverance, adoption, and a covenant identity.
    • Psalm 12:5–7: The Lord arises to rescue the oppressed and preserve His people.

    Track 1

    • Exodus 12: The Passover Lamb and the redemption of God’s people.
    • Exodus 14: The Red Sea deliverance: salvation by God’s mighty hand.
    • Acts 5: The holy God purifies His new covenant community.
    • Acts 10: God brings salvation to the Gentiles; the people of God expanded.
    • Psalm 15: The character of those who may dwell in God’s presence.

    Track 1

    • Exodus 24: Covenant ratified in blood; the people of God bound to the Lord.
    • Exodus 34: God reveals His Name: merciful, gracious, just.
    • Acts 13: Paul preaches Christ as the fulfillment of God’s covenant promises.
    • Acts 15: The Council: God forms a unified people from all nations through grace.
    • Psalm 16: “You will not abandon my soul…” A psalm fulfilled in Jesus’ resurrection.

    • Exodus 32:1–14: Israel’s failure and Moses’ intercession reveal God’s mercy.
    • Exodus 33:12–23: God’s presence promised; the glory of His goodness displayed.
    • Psalm 18:1–6: God delivers His people from overwhelming trouble.
    • Psalm 17:6–15: God vindicates the righteous and shelters them under His wings.

    Track 1

    • Exodus 40: The glory of the Lord fills the tabernacle; God dwells among His people.
    • Leviticus 4: The sin offering: atonement made so God may dwell with His people.
    • Acts 20: Paul’s farewell: shepherd the church bought by Christ’s blood.
    • Acts 22: Paul’s testimony: redeemed to witness, commissioned by the risen Christ.
    • Psalm 19: God’s glory in creation and perfection in His law; His Word transforms His people.

    • Exodus 36:1–7: Spirit-empowered generosity and communal participation in God’s dwelling place.
    • Leviticus 1:1–9: The burnt offering: wholehearted devotion and atonement.
    • Psalm 20:6–9: Confidence in the Lord’s salvation for His people.
    • Proverbs 4:20–27: Wisdom that shapes holy living and guards the community’s path.

    Track 1

    • Leviticus 16: The Day of Atonement: cleansing, substitution, and restored fellowship.
    • Leviticus 19: Holiness expressed in love, justice, and community ethics.
    • Romans 3: Righteousness by faith; Christ as the atoning sacrifice.
    • Acts 28: The Gospel goes unhindered to the nations; the new covenant people expands.
    • Psalm 22: Suffering, substitution, and universal praise fulfilled in Christ’s cross.

    • Leviticus 11:44–45: “Be holy, for I am holy” — God forms a distinct people.
    • Leviticus 17:10–12: Life is in the blood; atonement requires substitution.
    • Psalm 23: The Lord shepherds, restores, and leads His covenant community.
    • Psalm 24:7–10: The King of Glory enters; God’s reign over His holy people.

    • Leviticus 23: The appointed feasts: a rhythm of worship, rest, atonement, and covenant identity.
    • Numbers 6: The Nazirite vow and the priestly blessing: holiness, devotion, and God’s presence.
    • Romans 5: Peace with God through Christ; the new humanity in the Second Adam.
    • Romans 8: Life in the Spirit; adoption, hope, and the new creation community.
    • Psalm 27: Confidence in God’s presence, beauty, and deliverance.

    Track 1

    • Numbers 9: Israel guided by God’s presence; following the cloud day by day.
    • Numbers 14: The people rebel, yet God remains faithful and preserves His covenant people.
    • Romans 12: The transformed life: worship, humility, gifts, and communal love.
    • Matthew 1: Jesus the promised Son of Abraham and David; God with us.
    • Psalm 28: Trust in the Lord who is strength, shield, and shepherd of His people.

    • Numbers 21:4–9: Israel’s sin and God’s healing mercy through the bronze serpent (fulfilled in Christ).
    • Numbers 22:31–35: God opens eyes to see His presence and direction.

    • Psalm 30:8–12: God turns mourning into dancing; He restores His people.

    Track 1

    • Numbers 23: Balaam blesses Israel: God’s word cannot be reversed; His people are secure.
    • Numbers 27: God provides righteous leadership (Joshua) and protects the inheritance of His people.
    • Matthew 4: Jesus, the true Son, overthrows the tempter and begins His kingdom ministry.
    • Matthew 9: Jesus brings healing, forgiveness, and calls a new people to follow Him.
    • Psalm 32: The joy of forgiveness and restored relationship with God.

    • Deuteronomy 6: The Shema: wholehearted love for God forming a distinct covenant community.

    • Matthew 16: Peter’s confession and the promise of the church built on Christ.
    • Psalm 34: A call to trust, fear the Lord, and walk in His ways as His redeemed people.

    • Deuteronomy 17: The king must submit to God’s Word and shepherd the people in humility.

    • Matthew 23: Jesus exposes false leadership & calls for a community marked by humility and justice.
    • Psalm 37: Trusting the Lord, walking in righteousness, & inheriting the land as God’s faithful people.

    Track 1

    • Deuteronomy 31: God appoints Joshua; Moses charges Israel to be strong and courageous.
    • Joshua 3: Crossing the Jordan: God brings His people into the promised inheritance by His power.
    • Matthew 26: The Last Supper, betrayal, and the beginning of Christ’s passion—the true new Exodus.
    • Matthew 28: The resurrection & Great Commission: the risen King leads His people into all the earth.
    • Proverbs 8: Wisdom calling out; God’s eternal wisdom revealed (fulfilled in Christ, 1 Cor 1:24).

    • Deuteronomy 32:1–4: God the Rock: perfect, just, faithful in all He does.
    • Joshua 1:6–9: Strength and courage grounded in God’s presence and Word.
    • Psalm 40:1–10: God delivers and sets His people on a firm foundation to proclaim His salvation.

    Track 1

    • Joshua 9: Israel’s failure to seek the Lord’s counsel and the consequences of unwise covenant-making.
    • Joshua 21: God’s faithfulness: “Not one word… failed; all came to pass.”
    • 1 Corinthians 3: The church as God’s temple, built on Christ alone.
    • 1 Corinthians 9: Paul models sacrificial, disciplined ministry for the good of the church and mission.
    • Psalm 42: The longing of the soul for the living God; hope in His salvation.

    • Joshua 14:6–14: Caleb’s faithfulness: wholehearted devotion in receiving God’s promised inheritance.
    • Joshua 22:1–6: Joshua’s charge to love the Lord, walk in His ways, and hold fast to Him.
    • Psalm 43: A plea for God’s light and truth to guide His people into His presence.
    • Psalm 45:6–9: The eternal throne of God’s anointed King, pointing forward to Christ.

    Track 1

    • Joshua 24: Covenant renewal: “Choose this day whom you will serve.”
    • Judges 2: The cycle of unfaithfulness, God’s gracious deliverance, and covenant warnings.
    • 1 Corinthians 10: Warnings from Israel’s history; the call to flee idolatry and cling to Christ.
    • 1 Corinthians 15: The resurrection of Christ and the hope shaping the new covenant community.
    • Psalm 46: God is our refuge and strength; His presence makes His people fearless.

    Track 2

    • Joshua 23:6–11: Be very strong; cling to the Lord and love Him alone.
    • Judges 6:11–16: God raises Gideon: the Lord is with His weak and fearful people.
    • Psalm 47:1–9: The Lord reigns as King over all nations; He gathers a people to Himself.
    • Proverbs 9:10–12: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; life for those who heed His call.

    Track 1

    • Judges 21: Tragic end of the period of Judges: “Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.”
    • Ruth 1: Naomi’s bitterness and Ruth’s loyal love; the first glimmer of hope in the darkness.
    • 2 Corinthians 1: God comforts the afflicted; the church becomes a community of shared comfort.
    • 2 Corinthians 5: New creation in Christ; reconciliation offered and entrusted to the church.
    • Psalm 51: Confession, cleansing, and restoration; God creates a clean heart and renews His people.

    Track 2

    • Judges 16:28–31: God uses Samson’s final act to begin deliverance despite Israel’s failures.
    • Ruth 4:13–17: Redemption completed; David’s line established, pointing to Christ.
    • 1 Samuel 2:1–10: Hannah’s song: God raises the lowly and brings down the proud.
    • Psalm 50:14–23: True worship is integrity, thanksgiving, and obedience.

    May 4–10, 2026

    Track 1

    • 1 Samuel 3: The Lord calls Samuel; God raises up a faithful messenger in days of spiritual decline.
    • 1 Samuel 16: David anointed as king; God looks at the heart and empowers whom He chooses.
    • Mark 1: The beginning of the Gospel; Jesus is anointed by the Spirit and launches His kingdom mission.
    • 2 Corinthians 12: God’s power made perfect in weakness.
    • Psalm 54: God is the helper and sustainer of His chosen servants.

    • 1 Samuel 8:4–9: Israel’s misguided desire for a king; God’s warning about misplaced trust.
    • 1 Samuel 12:19–25: Samuel’s exhortation: fear the Lord, serve Him faithfully, and trust His grace.
    • Psalm 52:6–9: Trusting in God’s steadfast love rather than human strength or evil.
    • Psalm 53:1–6: God looks for the righteous; salvation and restoration come from the Lord.

    Keep Coming Back to Scripture

    If you miss a week, don’t let that drive you away from God’s Word. What matters is the grace to keep going, not our perfection. Just jump in at the current week and continue reading and praying alongside the church. This keeps us all engaged with the same passages at the same time

    We are reading together so we can grow as a church, building each other up. The Spirit will use His Word to feed and change you. We want to encourage each other in that growth. So be encouraged because this plan is meant to be shared together.
