Agape Today Video + Wednesday Nights.

Hello everybody,

Don’t forget about our mid-week gathering tomorrow (Wednesday) night that meets at 7pm. This week we are tackling the overall issue of discipleship, and in that context talking about how we can go about ministering to each other, and building each other up to maturity and strength while at the same time reaching new people with the Gospel of Jesus, and telling them all about Him. One particularly interesting issue that we will tackle is the issue of compatibility, and how Gospel Communities are an answer for those who don’t feel like they fit in well, or feel like they are on the fringe – caught on the outside looking in. We’ll have a time of discussion also, and should get into some very interesting territory – come join us at 7pm!

In addition, Monday morning of this week, we recorded the first in a series of videos we are calling “Agape Today.” Agape Today aims to use video and a talk show like format to talk about what’s going on at Agape for any given time period. This week’s video is our first one, and it is a little rough. It’s a bit too long, and there were some technical issues (camera focus) that will be ironed out for the next edition. Nevertheless, the content should be interesting, and I encourage you to give it a watch:

Agape Today #1 August 2011 (Birmingham, Alabama) from Faith Today on Vimeo.

In the video we discuss 4 important topics:

1. The message this past week on the deadly silence of the church on pornography and sexual trafficking.
2. What is going on with the kids at Agape
3. The worship time and message for this upcoming Sunday, which deals with the issue of homosexuality, and how the church should respond to it.
4. Wednesday night’s discussion on Gospel Community, and how to counter the warped view that only the church staff are called to do ministry.

Check it out! http://vimeo.com/27177923.

We’ll see you Wednesday night,

Chase
